So my favorite thing to do these days is collect and revamp furniture that people leave on the curbside. People throw away the best stuff. So to kick off my new blog content I will show you how I repainted this lovely set of wooden bedside tables that I picked up on the wayside.
First I sanded these bad boys down.
Then using Ultimate White from Behr Marquee I began painting. It took about 3 coats to get a solid finish.
I highly recommend using one of these fantastic mini rollers. It has a smooth finish and goes so much quicker than a regular paint brush.
Once painted I reapplied the hardware which I had also painted using a gold decor paint called DecoArt Elegant Finish in Glorious Gold. I got the Crown drawer pulls from Cost Plus World Market and I used a stencil to paint the pattern on the inside.
Tada…I’m super happy with how these turned out! So next time you see a piece of furniture on the side of the road grab it, restyle it! Have fun Total refurbishing cost about $30.
